Say Hello To: Richard Evitts

Teresa Madden 02 November 2019

This week we  ‘Say Hello To’ Richard Evitts, an experienced client accountant who has recently joined our Birmingham-based implementation team. We sat down with Richard to hear more about what attracted him to Re-Leased, what he likes about his role so far, and what goes on in ‘Rich World’!

Tell us a bit about yourself and your journey to Re-Leased.

I have worked in property management for about  15 years, predominantly focusing on client finance.  My last role included a six-month secondment to Transport for London, to assist with the onboarding of its property portfolio finances. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of implementing systems and working practices involved with such a high-profile client and decided that was the route I wanted to direct my career.

What were the drivers to join the Re-Leased team?

I was sold on the concept of the product. It’s innovation in an industry where technology has not advanced for a number of years.

Adding to this, I was also excited to perfect the implementation element of onboarding clients. Too often I have encountered property management portfolios that have been a melting pot of problems due to poor implementation. Joining the Re-Leased Team as an Implementation Manager means I get a chance to put my money where my mouth is and help develop the onboarding strategy.

What do you like about your role so far?

It’s early days, but I’m enjoying learning what the system is capable of and have been spending time getting a feel for what we can achieve for our customers.

If I had to single out one thing, it would be the Birmingham team. They have literally taken me under their wing and made me feel like I have been here for ages.

I think the most memorable thing so far has to be receiving a message from the Re-Leased founder to wish me luck on my first day. I believe it’s gestures like that, that make people feel really appreciated.

What is your favourite thing to do outside of work?

In ‘Rich World’ as my parents (and teachers) used to call it, no two days tend to be the same; I thrive on quirkiness. With that being said, my days do all tend to revolve around food… What am I going to eat? Where am I going to eat? I’ve eaten that, what should I have next?

Also the gym… to work off the food! Mmmmm Food!

I also love exploring, so you’ll quite often see photos of me on top of a mountain or on a beach somewhere… Life’s what you make it.

We are expanding our team in Birmingham and looking for a Customer Support/Technical Consultant. To see the Job Description click the link below and for additional information please contact our Implementation Team Manager, Teresa Madden.
